Bloc

Bloc bootcamps are fully online and completed at your own pace. This means that you won’t have live instruction at regularly scheduled times, and it gives you flexibility to learn the material when you have time in your schedule. However, you’re not totally on your own! Every student chooses an experienced mentor to work with in 1:1 video-chat sessions and they can be contacted throughout the day for questions or help with the curriculum. Students can also sign up for live lectures by experienced developers and designers.
Bloc offers two learning tracks – the web developer track and the designer track. Both programs include career services to help you find job opportunities, connect with recruiters, and practice interviewing. If you don’t find a job in your chosen field within six months of completing the program, Bloc will refund your tuition.
Since Bloc bootcamps are self-paced they don’t have a specific duration. However, the Bloc website estimates that most students complete the curriculum in 3 to 8 months.

Bloc’s web developer bootcamp starts off with the fundamentals and gives you a pre-test that assesses where your skills are to begin with. Then you’ll dive into a five-module curriculum that cover the skills you need to build web applications and APIs, work with clients, and use data structures and algorithms. The final module covers the job application process and helps develop your professional network so that you’re ready for the job market.
