The number one question asked by people who want to start coding is “are coding bootcamps worth it?” Coding bootcamps are intensive learning experiences that require time, mental focus, and often a pricy tuition payment. So it’s only natural that students want to know if all of their monetary and non-monetary investment will pay off. We’re admittedly a bit biased since we love coding and are pro-coding bootcamp, but we’ve also done our research and can confidently say, YES coding bootcamps are worth it. Here’s why:
Some bootcamps are offered 100% online, but this doesn’t mean you will be totally on your own! When choosing a bootcamp, look out for a distinction between self-paced online bootcamps and bootcamps with a schedule of live classes. The latter option includes instructor-led elements and, often, class collaboration, which can all be done over video calls. Self-paced bootcamps generally don’t include any video calls or real-time instruction.
The great thing about online coding bootcamps is that you can join from wherever you are. Most in-person bootcamps are located in mid-sized to large cities. If you don’t live in or near a city, online bootcamps are a great, flexible option.
Looking for the best program near you? From Washington, D.C. to San Francisco, bootcamps are offered on campuses in major cities across the United States. Choose from tech bootcamps focusing on coding, data analysis, data science, software engineering, cybersecurity, and more.
